前美式足球NFL坦帕灣海盜隊的麥基（Brandon MaGee），不久之後有機會開啟他生涯的第1個職棒球季。麥基日前遭球隊釋出，旋即進入紅襪隊小聯盟春訓營。麥基得到昔日美式足球、棒球雙棲球員波傑克森（Bo Jackson）當面的鼓勵，而想闖闖看。麥基一方面仍等待著能重返NFL，也在紅襪隊小聯盟春訓營尋找職業生涯第二戰場。
